Priyanka’s Visit to Vellore Prison Must be Authenticated
“Priyanka’s visit to Vellore prison to meet Nalini must be authenticated at least now by making post-visit entries in relevant jail records under certification by the concerned authorities who organised her visit" demands Professor P. Chandra Sekharan who was the principal scientific investigator in the Rajiv Gandhi Assassination.
‘Priyanka’s gesture in interacting with a member of her father’s assassination squad is indeed a historical event and should not go into oblivion unrecorded’ he said. This event is not only a long cherished desire of the bereaved daughter but one of the rarest of the rare human behavior which has very few precedents in the human history.
Prof Chandra Sekharan has written in his forthcoming book "The First Human Bomb" thus: “Certainly the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi impacted millions of Indians heavier than the Himalayas. His assassination will be talked about for centuries, perhaps millennia. He said now "Equally Priyanka’s as well as Mrs Sonia Gandhi’s preparedness to forgive Nalini will also be remembered for long". I would also appeal to Priyanka to put on record what has been transpired between the two for the benefit of future historians. "The millions of people who adore Gandhi family will only be happy to hear from the horse's mouth rather than reading the media guess.
